摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique preventing the occurrence of a short circuit due to the deformation of an electrode lead caused by an external impact applied on a battery module.SOLUTION: A battery module includes at least one cell constructed in a structure where an electrode assembly of a cathode/separator/anode structure is mounted in a battery case such that an electrode lead protrudes outside. In the battery module, when an external impact is directly or indirectly applied to the cell, the electrode lead moves toward the electrode assembly of the cell, so that the external impact is absorbed by the deformation of the electrode lead or the deformation of a predetermined region ('electrode lead facing part') of the module in direct contact with or adjacent to the electrode lead, and thereby the occurrence of a short circuit due to the contact between the electrode assembly and the electrode lead is prevented.
