A heat pump is provided to perform the cooling and heating while defrosting by controlling a valve combined between each component with a controller. A heat pump comprises a compressor(1), an oil separator(65), a first heat exchanger(2), a second heat exchanger(3), a liquid receiver(6), a defrosting unit(7), a liquid heater(9), and a third heat exchanger(5). A first branch(P1) is connected to a flow path between the third heat exchanger and the liquid heater and a fourth heat exchanger(4) is comprised in the first branch. A second branch(P2) is connected to the flow path between the second heat exchanger and the first heat exchanger. The second branch is connected to the first branch. A third branch(P3) connected to the second branch is connected to the flow path between the liquid receiver and the second heat exchanger. The fourth branch(P4) is connected to the first branch. The fourth branch supplies the refrigerant to the compressor after passing through the defrosting unit from a fourth heat exchanger.
