PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of forming a tissue body for transplantation composed of a biological tissue containing a desired cell or a cell having a function similar to a desired cell, and to provide a molding base material for producing an artificial tissue body for transplantation used for the method.SOLUTION: In a molding base material for producing an artificial tissue for transplantation used for producing an artificial tissue for transplantation and capable of supporting a desired cell, a cell as a replacement for the desired cell or a cell capable of dividing into the desired cell so as to execute the same outward from a surface of a base material, the molding base material is covered with a biological body-originated tissue containing the desired cell or a cell having a function similar to a desired cell by placing the molding base material supporting the desired cell, the cell as a replacement for the desired cell or the cell capable of dividing into the desired cell in environments where the biological tissue are present, followed by removing the molding base material.
