PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress unevenness of drying of a discharge port and reduce a consumption amount of liquid.SOLUTION: A printer includes a head 1, a cap mechanism 40, a humidifying mechanism 50, and a control device. The humidifying mechanism 50 includes a supply port part 65 extending longitudinally along an upstream side side surface 1S1 of the head 1, and a discharge port part 85 extending longitudinally along a downstream side side surface 1S2 of the head 1, and carries out humidifying operation of supplying humidified air from the supply port part 65 to a discharge space S1. The supply port part 65 and the discharge port part 85 communicate with the discharge space S1, and are arranged with a plurality of discharge ports interposed therebetween with regard to a main scanning direction. The control device controls the humidifying mechanism to make it carry out the humidifying operation when an image is recorded and when the discharge space S1 is partitioned. |
