PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method capable of accurately and simply discriminating quality of a gas cylinder.SOLUTION: Reactions H1, H2 to compression and extension of the gas cylinder are measured at fine pitches in both of a step for compressing the gas cylinder by predetermined pressure force and a step for extending the gas cylinder under a load condition, and whether or not the measured reactions are included within proper allowed variation ranges Si, S2 is determined. If the actual reactions H1, H2 are deviated from the proper variation ranges S1, S2 even in one position in a quality determination area, the gas cylinder is discriminated as a defective product. Abnormality in the compression step and abnormality in the extension step can be accurately and simply detected. |
