摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of detecting erosion of furnace bottom refractory for a melting furnace, configured to easily and accurately measure the amount of erosion of a furnace bottom refractory without removing a metal layer, and to make a suitable operation plan.SOLUTION: In a method of detecting erosion of a furnace bottom refractory for a melting furnace, the amount of erosion of the furnace bottom refractory 18 is measured in a melting furnace 10 formed by stacking a slug layer 22 on a metal layer 23 at a furnace bottom, by melting an object to be treated supplied into a furnace. Correlation between slug temperature and furnace bottom refractory temperature and an erosion speed equation of the furnace bottom refractory are determined in advance. The slug temperature of the slug layer is measured when the melting furnace is in operation. The refractory temperature is estimated from the measured slug temperature on the basis of the correlation between the slug temperature and the furnace bottom refractory temperature. The amount of erosion of the furnace bottom refractory is calculated from the estimated refractory temperature by using the erosion speed equation, to correct an operation plan of the melting furnace on the basis of the amount of erosion.
