PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing an α-fluoromalonic acid dialkyl, which, while using only slightly excessive amounts of hydrogen fluoride and triethylamine, allows the preparation in good yield and the reduction of the reaction time without a high pressure.SOLUTION: A dicarbonyl compound represented by formula (II) is allowed to react with an addition product of hydrogen fluoride and triethylamine at normal pressure and at a temperature of 103°C to 115°C. In the formula, Ris a 1-4C alkoxy; and Ris hydrogen, fluorine or chlorine. |
