PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spindle motor including a fluid dynamic pressure bearing device with a fixed shaft attached to both end parts, and consisting only of a small number of components which can be manufactured relatively simply.SOLUTION: The spindle motor includes a fluid dynamic pressure bearing device including rotor components (14) surrounding a fixed shaft (12). The shaft is coupled with bearing components (16;18) facing the axial direction at both end parts. These bearing components are molded to form capillary seal gaps (32;34) sealing the fluid dynamic pressure bearing device having both open sides, and an arbitrary selection dynamic pumping seal (36). A circulation passage (28) interconnecting regions of the bearing device separated from each other and filled with a bearing fluid, and electromagnetic drive units (42, 44) for driving the rotor components are provided. |
