PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing accumulated snow on a roof of a building, capable of reliably removing accumulated snow from all of the roof area, and a device for removing accumulated snow having long-term durability against rain water or the like, and being economical enough for home use.SOLUTION: The device for removing accumulated snow comprises: a plurality of device bodies 1 for removing accumulated snow disposed adjacent to a ridge of a roof 20 of a building, each device body including a storage room 2 for storing a long bottom-shaped thin-walled member 5 in a curled state; a drive shaft 12 for connecting each gear 10 of the device body so that the gears are driven by one motor 14 with a reduction gear; and boards 15 for removing accumulated snow, each of the boards being coupled to each end 9 of the bottom-shaped thin-walled members 5. When accumulated snow 21 is built thickly on the roof, the bottom-shaped thin-walled members 5 engaged with the gears 10 are pushed out from the storage rooms 2 in a flat state by driving the motor 14 with a reduction gear. Accordingly, the boards 15 for removing accumulated snow, coupled to the members, remove the accumulated snow 21 from all over the length of the roof slope. |
