PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sunlight-facing member which reduces the amount of transmissive sunlight by blocking or suppressing the infrared and ultraviolet of sunlight in particular, allows a transparent plate installed at an opening of a side wall of a building to be reinforced and prevented from scattering when damaged, and allows a non-expert to fix a sunlight-facing layer to the transparent plate at a uniform thickness; and a forming method thereof.SOLUTION: A sunlight-facing member 1 includes a transparent plate 2 in a thin tabular shape, of which surface is provided with a paper-shaped member 31 for reducing the amount of transmissive sunlight, having a plurality of through-holes and a relatively thin thickness. The paper-shaped member 31 is formed of woven cloth, knitted cloth, or nonwoven cloth of glass fiber, carbon fiber, metal fiber, or high-strength fiber, and impregnated with a chemical solution 32 having a function for blocking or suppressing infrared and/or ultraviolet, so that an approximately uniform sunlight-facing layer 3 is formed, having functions for blocking or suppressing the infrared and/or ultraviolet of sunlight and preventing scattering. |
