PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for treating a radioactive substance-contaminated soil that enable efficient decontamination of radioactive substance-contaminated soil without generating excessive waste as well as reduction thereof.SOLUTION: The method comprises: a dry classification step of separating coarse-grained soil of a predetermined grain size or larger from radioactive substance-contaminated soil to be treated; a grinding step of grinding the grain surfaces of the radioactive substance-contaminated soil, from which the coarse-grained soil is removed; a fine powder insolubilization step of adding a solidification agent to the fine powder generated at the grinding step and mixing them and insolubilizing radioactive substances; an insolubilization and concentration separation-enabling step of adding metal grains at least part of which are nano-sized and that have an affinity for a ferromagnetic powder and the solidification agent, and a nano-dispersion in which the ferromagnetic powder is dispersed in the solidification agent to the ground soil the grain surfaces of which are ground obtained by the grinding step, mixing them, and enabling insolubilization of radioactive substances, and concentration and separation thereof; and a concentration and separation step of magnetically separating the soil after the insolubilization and concentration separation-enabling step, concentrating and separating radioactive substances. |
