A pre-distortion section (32) obtains the selected distortion compensation coefficient from the distortion compensation coefficient storage section (33) and applies distortion compensation processing to the signal, which has been input to the address generation section (31), using the obtained distortion compensation coefficient. An amplification unit amplifies the distortion-compensated signal. A distortion compensation coefficient computation section (34) updates the distortion compensation coefficients stored in the distortion compensation coefficient storage section (33) on the basis of the amplified transmission signal and the signal that has been input to the address generation section (31).
