MULTI-COLOR DETECTION SYSTEM FOR MULTIPLEXED CAPILLARY ELECTROPHORESIS

A multi-wavelength detector for a multiplex capillary electrophoresis system comprising a linear filter (201) placed in between the capillary (104) detection windows and a 2-dimensional detector (130). The linear filter is oriented such that the change in wavelength of the filter is in the direction of flow of the fluid within the capillary detection windows. Also disclosed is a method of correcting the apparent time shift of the detected peaks due to wavelength dispersion in the direction of travel and of merging all the detected peaks into a single overlapped peak.
