发明名称 Improvements in or relating to sliding door operating mechanisms
摘要
380,560. Door-operating mechanism. WESTINGHOUSE ELECTRIC & MANUFACTURING CO., East Pittsburg, U.S.A.- (Assignees of McCormick, H. V. ; 573, Lafayette Boulevard, Long Beach, New York, U.S.A.) Aug. 4, 1931, No. 22121. Convention date, Aug. 8, 1930. [Class 65 (i).] Operating mechanism for sliding doors comprises main toggle levers associated with, and effecting the movement of, the door, and auxiliary toggle levers associated with the main toggle levers and with a driving device in such a manner as to produce slow initial and final movements of the door, with quick intermediate movement. The mechanism may be applied to doors having separately moving panels, being arranged so that the different panels take the same time for their movements. The apparatus is preferably operated by a screw mechanism, driven by an electric motor, in which one of the screw members is directly connected to the auxiliary toggle linkage, and the motor is hingedly mounted to prevent binding between the screw and nut. As shown, the screw mechanism is placed vertically at the side of the door, and operates through levers pivoted to the door frame. The nut 44 is rigidly connected by a tube 42 to the shaft of the motor 21, which is hinged to a fixing bracket at its lower end. The tube 42 serves as a cover for the screw, and the nut also carries a cover tube 39 having bushings at its ends for the screw shalt 47. The screw shaft 47 is pivoted at its upper end to an auxiliary toggle lever 49 pivoted to the door frame, but is not capable of rotation about its axis. The lever 49 is connected by a toggle link 51 to a similarly-pivoted lever 7 by which the door is operated through lever 8 and link 9. The arrangement of levers is such that the door will start and stop slowly, with relatively rapid intermediate movement, and the two panels of the door move simultaneously to overlapping open positions ; also, the ends of the link 51 do not quite come into line with the pivot of lever 49 when the door is open, so that the door may be closed by hand. In order to retain the door open against the gravity effect of the mechanism, but not against the closing force of the motor, a roller 59 is provided on the side of the lever 49 to engage a spring-controlled detent 60 pivoted on the door frame. Specification 364,846 is referred to.
