The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a functional cereal comprising: a grain grinding step for grinding grains; a kneading step for adding a sweetner and purified water and mixing with the ground grain powder; a popping step for extruding and cutting, and then popping the kneaded mixture; and a spraying step for spraying starch syrup blend on the popped grain dough through the popping step. The cereal manufactured by the manufacturing process has an effect in promoting eater's health since the cereal is very nutritious.
