PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively perform work for removing a fatigued crane girder to be removed after separating a girder connection part with a girder not to be removed, and work for subsequently placing the girder to be replaced to a section from which the girder is removed without securing a large space in a factory. SOLUTION: This method includes: a process for arranging two sets of girder lifting and hanging devices 1 laterally movably just above longitudinal direction both ends of the girder W to be removed, and releasing a fastened state between a lower flange of the girder W to be removed and a receiving column V after connecting the girder W to be removed by a connection metal fitting of the girder lifting and hanging device 1; a process for vertically lifting the girder W to be removed by the girder lifting and hanging device 1 for the prescribed girder lifting margin (a); a process for laterally moving the girder W to be removed in a horizontal direction while lifting the girder W to be removed; and a process for hanging and lowering the girder W to be removed on the ground. After fixing the girder W to be removed on the prescribed position on the ground, the girder to be replaced is installed on the place from which the girder is removed by using the girder lifting and hanging device 1.
