An uplink channel configuration method in a radio communication system, comprising a step of including a random access channel and an uplink shared channel as transport channels; a step of including as physical channels a physical random access channel as an independent radio resource to which the random access channel of the transport channel is mapped and a physical uplink shared channel as an independent radio resource to which the uplink shared channel of the transport channel is mapped; and a step of sharing the uplink shared channel by plural users without using a dedicated channel separately allocated to each of the users.
