The present invention relates to carbazole derivatives with hole conduction properties customized for dyes, their use as coadsorbents, and highly efficient dye-sensitized solar cells including the same. The carbazole derivatives include arylene or heteroarylene. The heteroarylene includes 1-3 heteroatoms selected from a group consisting of nitrogen, sulfur, and oxygen.
