<p>The present invention relates to a defect detection device and a defect detection method for measuring a defect of a small caliber pipe. According to the present invention, the defect detection device for measuring a defect of a small caliber pipe comprises: a cylindrical sensor part where multiple magnetic sensors are arranged; a coil part which is coiled along an external surface of the sensor part; a power supplying part for applying a direct current to the sensor part and for applying an alternating current to the coil part; and a signal receiving part for digitizing a signal applied from the sensor part quantitatively. Provided are a defect detection device and a defect detection method that a sensor part detects a magnetic field distribution, which results from a defect of a small caliber pipe due to an alternating current applied to a coil part.
