<p>The invention relates to a mechanically-driven device, actuated by foot, by means of which there is achieved the compaction by about 75...80% of the volume of recyclable plastic and aluminium containers, the device being placed in public spaces such as restaurants, bars, confectioners', boarding houses, hotels, lodgers' associations or for endowing the salubrity enterprises. According to the invention, the device comprises a parallelepipedal housing () with rectangular cross-section which has some fastening eyes () mounted at the lower part and a cover () at the upper side, said cover, attached with some hinges () at one end and at the other end closed with a lock (), is provided with a small hole () in its centre, the housing () having inside, at its lower part, a fixed cylindrical guiding element () whereon a mobile piston () slides, said piston having at its upper part a pressing plate (), and its lower part having a pedal () protruding outside from the housing () and being fastened at the base of the mobile piston () by means of a driving cable () passing over the rollers () which are mounted on an axle () which, in its turn, rests on some supports () fixed in the side walls of the housing ().</p> |
