PURPOSE: A reprogramming method of an ECU(Electronic Control Unit) for a vehicle and a reprogramming ECU are provided to reprogram the ECU by using a USB(Universal Serial Bus) device, thereby easily reprogramming the ECU. CONSTITUTION: A control unit(153) confirms input of a USB device(200). The control unit confirms existence and a state of a reprogramming related file in the USB device and converts a state mode into a reprogramming mode or a waiting mode. The control unit reprograms a target ECU. A communication unit(155) communicates with the USB device and the target ECU. A memory(157) stores a program code and setting information which are received from the communication unit. The control unit confirms input of the USB device when an IG(IGnition) key is an on-state; a vehicle transmission is a parking state; and a parking brake is a locking state.
