PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To smoothly insert a terminal metal fitting in a cavity without being hooked to a lance.SOLUTION: A punched region P is formed on a ceiling plate 12 of a square cylinder section 4 of a terminal metal fitting T, and a presser section 20 is overlaid thereon. An R-plane 24 is formed at a peripheral edge in the punched region P, and the presser section 20 is brought into contact with inside of the R-plane 24. In a process for inserting the terminal metal fitting in the cavity 2, a lance 3 slides along a sliding path L of the square cylinder section 4. Bridge sections 26A, 26B are arranged at a portion of the R-plane 24 positioned on the sliding path L to fill a gap between the punched region P and a peripheral edge of the presser section 20. The bridge sections 26A, 26B are punched in a direction opposite to the punched region P, and formed almost on the same plane as the ceiling plate 12 and the presser section 20. |
