PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an exhaust gas temperature estimation device capable of estimating an exhaust gas temperature by using a generalized estimation equation.SOLUTION: An exhaust gas temperature Thaiki is estimated by following equation (a1), equation (b) and equation (c) using a temperature Tbdc of in-cylinder gas upon the bottom dead center, a fuel injection quantity QV, an engine speed NE of an internal combustion engine and a cylinder intake gas amount Gin sucked into a combustion chamber. The equations are represented: Thaiki=Tbdc+(5.4×10×Qin+0.3×Qin)×g(NE)/Gin/C (a1); Qin=QV×30 (b): and g(NE)=1.02-exp(-NE/650) (c). Further, when a temperature difference between an estimation value of the exhaust gas temperature and an actual measurement value by means of a temperature sensor is larger than a predetermined determination value, it is determined that a failure occurs on the temperature sensor. |
