<p>A videoconference system includes a communication section, a video input section, an audio input section, an audio output section, a video display section, a videoconference terminal, an operation input section, and a control section. When the operation input section detects a user operation instructing the start of a videoconference, the control section calls another videoconference system through the communication section and connects the host videoconference system to the other videoconference system such that communication therebetween is possible, and also sends a switching signal instructing the video display section to switch to a first video input. The videoconference terminal encodes the video signal and the audio signal of the user of the host system and sends the signals to the other videoconference system through the communication section, and also decodes an encoded video signal and audio signal received through the communication section from the other videoconference system and outputs the signals to the first video input and the audio output section.</p> |
