The present invention is a program information transmission device which receives a digital broadcast that includes program information. A program information processing unit (411) acquires, from a PES or ES that includes information of the broadcast program, such program information as a broadcasting schedule or a program title in order to configure a program information table. A program table generation unit (410) references the program information processing unit (411), and using information on the acquired broadcast program, generates an electronic program table which provides a user interface (UI) that includes a scheduling button that allows recording or scheduling of viewing of a desired program.
