PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a conventional problem using a new support member effective in holding a sensor unit with a structure being compatible of automating the manufacturing process of a sensor unit for constituting a bearing assembly on which equipment is mounted, and a bearing and connection thereof.SOLUTION: A temporary support member (2) for the sensor unit of a bearing assembly includes a first portion (10) for housing at least a part of a sensor body (74) of the sensor unit, a second portion (20) for housing a cable (76) connected to the sensor body in a winding structure, and a third portion (30) for housing a connector (78) attached to a free end (762) of the cable.
