PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ball screw transmission device and a surface treatment method of a ferrite coating, which excels in wear resistance for suppressing wear in a ball screw transmission device caused by direct contact between metals during push-up or push-down driving when the device is set in a vertical direction or during a lateral movement drive when the device is set in a horizontal direction.SOLUTION: A ball screw transmission device comprises: a first spiral groove formed on an outer circumference of a ball screw shaft; a nut where the ball screw penetrates; a second spiral groove opposing to the first spiral groove and formed on an inner wall surface of the nut; and balls interposed in a space formed by the second spiral groove and the first spiral groove. A ferrite coating is formed on a surface of a member including at least one of the first spiral groove, the second spiral groove and the balls.
