<p>The purpose of the present invention is to provide an ultrasonic image diagnostic device which can obtain ultrasonic images for which the time taken to measure and calculate the optimal sound speed has been reduced, and which exhibit excellent image quality for the lesion or tissue which is to be viewed. The ultrasonic image diagnostic device according to the present invention comprises: an element data storage unit which stores element data; a region of interest setting unit which sets a region of interest; an optimal sound speed calculation unit which uses the element data from the region of interest to calculate the value of the optimal sound speed for the region of interest; a reconstruction region setting unit which sets a reconstruction region which includes, and is larger than, the region of interest; and an image reconstruction unit which reconstructs an image of the reconstruction region on the basis of the optimal sound speed, and then generates a reconstructed image.</p> |
