PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stoker type incinerator and a combustion method of the incinerator, in which combustion of a primary combustion chamber can be improved to more uniform combustion and nitrogen oxides and dioxins can be suppressed.SOLUTION: A stoker type incinerator includes: a combustion stoker 17; wind boxes 20to 20; primary air supply pipes 10to 10; recirculation gas supply pipes 13to 13for mixing a recirculated gas to primary air; a steam blowing port 27 for blowing steam from a boiler to flames of incinerated substances; a local combustion spot detecting means for detecting a local combustion spot on the combustion stoker 17; and a control means, which performs control to mix, in a predetermined mixing ratio, the recirculated gas flowing in the recirculation gas supply pipe to the primary air flowing in the primary air supply pipe connected to the wind box including the local combustion spot, and which performs control to blow steam through the steam blow port nearest to the local combustion spot. |
