PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic circuit for a lens drive device able to reduce the dimensions of the outer shape of the entire device including the magnetic circuit.SOLUTION: In a magnetic circuit for a lens drive device, a plurality of magnetic field generating members (17a) are fixed on a side face along the direction of the optical axis of a first holder (7) such that a magnetic plate (172) magnetized in the direction of plate thickness is sandwiched between a pair of yokes (171 and 173). A plurality of coils (16a) are fixed to the internal wall of a second holder, opposite the side face of the first holder (7) so as to sandwich the magnetic field generating members (17a). A part of the wounded portion of the coil (16a) is located in a gap between the pair of yokes (171 and 173).
