PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clothing drying device which uses a heat pump, capable of preventing reduction in drying efficiency.SOLUTION: A drum type washing and drying machine 100 comprises a heat pump device 13 including a compressor 7, a drying chamber 32, an air circulation path 18, a thermistor 16, and a control unit 20 having a temperature detection unit 21. Air heated by the heat pump device 13 is supplied to the drying chamber 32. The air circulation path 18 is connected to the heat pump device 13 and the drying chamber 32 and is a closed space. The temperature detection unit 21 detects a temperature of the compressor 7, the temperature detected by the thermistor 16. When the temperature of the compressor 7 reaches a temperature lower than a limit temperature which is set for preventing the temperature of the compressor 7 from reaching a limit, the control unit 20 controls the compressor 7 so that driving of the compressor 7 is stopped. |
