PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device of a linear motion device and its control method which enable accurate position control of the linear motion device when a deviation in a mounting position of a magnetic sensor and variations in magnetization occur.SOLUTION: A calibration arithmetic circuit 24 obtains a detection position arithmetic signal value VPROC from a first position signal value NEGCAL corresponding to a home position of a linear motion device 31 and a second position signal value POSCAL corresponding to a full position on the basis of a detection position signal value Vip. A device position command signal generation circuit 26 outputs a target position signal value VTARG for commanding a target position to move the linear motion device 31. A first output driver 28a and a second output driver 28b supply a driving current to a drive coil 29.
