PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform highly accurate position detection by correcting a detection error based on the mounting error, or the like, of a rotary disk or a proximity sensor disposed so as to detect the position of the rotor of a synchronous motor, easily and safely by electrical adjustment.SOLUTION: The rotor position detector of a thyristor motor includes a rotary disk 4 attached to the rotating shaft 2 of a synchronous motor 1, a plurality of proximity sensors 5-7 disposed in close proximity to the rotary disk 4, at predetermined intervals, in the circumferential direction and outputting position pulse signals, and a gate drive circuit 8 which outputs a control signal to a thyristor converter 9 on the basis of the position pulse signals of these proximity sensors 5-7. Furthermore, a delay circuit 10 which outputs a signal, produced by delaying the phase of the position pulse signals output from the proximity sensors 5-7 arbitrarily, is provided between the plurality of proximity sensors 5-7 and the gate drive circuit 8 so as to correct the detection error. |
