A method and a device for anchoring a thread (12) on an object (50) are made available, wherein the device has a pin (10) made of a material that can be liquefied by means of ultrasonic vibrations. A thread is secured on a rear end of the pin. The device also has a support (20) with a support body (24), a support arm (22) and a thread receiver (26), wherein the support arm is suitable for holding the pin releasably in a predetermined position relative to the support body, in such a way that the pin can be introduced reliably into a drilled hole in an object. |
