PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology which can raise the frame rate of a moving image containing image distortion without collapsing the moving image.SOLUTION: An image processing device of the present invention is designed to interpolate between frames of an input image signal to raise the frame rate of the input image signal. The image processing device includes: distortion correction means which, when the input image signal is a distorted image signal, applies distortion correction processing to the input image signal to correct image distortion in it; detection means for detecting a motion vector from the distortion corrected image signal; distortion processing means for distorting the motion vector detected by the detection means according to the extent of image distortion in the input image signal; and generation means for generating from the input image signal and the motion vector distorted by the distortion processing means an interpolation frame for interpolating between the frames of the input image signal. |
