PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce power consumption of a solid state imaging device.SOLUTION: The solid state imaging device includes: a pixel array in which a plurality of pixels having an amplification transistor for amplifying a signal based on a light charge corresponding to the quantity of light received are arranged; a bias current control section for turning a bias current, being supplied to the amplification transistor via a vertical signal line in the pixel array, on or off for every vertical signal line; and a drive control section for controlling the bias current control section so as to turn the bias current of a vertical signal line reading the pixel signal on, and to turn the bias current of a vertical signal line not reading the pixel signal off. The technique is applicable to a solid state image sensor, for example. |
