Reduction of interference (I3) to a received signal due to intermodulation products of signals transmitted in a wireless network, the interference comprising intermodulation products of at least a first signal (C1) and a second signal (C2). Delayed interference signals comprising simulated intermodulation products are generated on the basis of the first signal (C1) and the second signal (C2) using a range of differing delay values (52, 64, 66, 68, 70, 84), and each of the delayed interference signals is correlated with the received signal to produce data representing a correlation for each delayed interference signal. At least one delay value is selected in dependence on a comparison of the data representative of the correlations and an interference signal comprising simulated intermodulation products generated from the first signal (C1) and the second signal (C2) using the at least one delay value is combined with the received signal. The invention has particular application in mitigating the effects of passive intermodulation (PIM) in modern cellular wireless networks. |
