Embossing roller

The embossing roller (34,35) has an encircling embossing geometry that is provided with alternating grooves and projections. The projections are extended in circumferential direction of the embossing roller. The groove and/or projection in an outer portion of the embossing geometry are more intense pronounced than the groove and/or projection in an inner area of the embossing geometry. The edges between the grooves are arranged in radial manner to the grooves of adjacent projections. Independent claims are included for the following: (1) embossing device; and (2) device for processing wrapping material strip for rod-shaped article of tobacco processing industry.
