摘要 <p>#CMT# #/CMT# The head has a housing (1) including a housing unit (1.1) that is fastened at a machine. A stylus (2) is deflectably supported on another housing unit (1.2). A sensor unit outputs an electrical signal based on a deflection of the stylus relative to the latter housing unit. A switching unit includes two contact elements that are arranged in such a manner that the contact elements are brought into mutual contact at different contact points based on a direction of deflection of the latter housing unit relative to the former housing unit to trigger an electrical switching signal. #CMT# : #/CMT# The contact elements are designed as a spring i.e. helical spring. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Probe head i.e. battery powered probe head, for use in a probe system to determine a position of workpieces clamped in a material-working machine i.e. milling machine. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The contact elements are arranged in such a manner that the contact elements are brought into mutual contact at the different contact points based on the direction of deflection of the housing unit relative to the other housing unit to trigger the electrical switching signal that stops the machine on which the latter housing unit is affixable, thus preventing damage of the probe head.
