<p>A process for edge finishing items made of MDF material, where the process is characterised in that the edge of the item is subjected to a pressure action by a rotating tool, and in that the rotating tool is fed in a progressive movement while machining the item along the edge of the item. The friction between the edge of the item and the rotating tool causes a brief local heating which acts as a kind of reactivation, redistribution and re-hardening of the glue component in the fibre structure of the MDF item.</p> |
