<p>A tassel for blind cords comprises at least two independent parts 11 12 and a retaining member comprising of an elastic retention piece 3 which embraces the outside of the two parts and tends to keep them in an assembled position, such that the two parts split apart when a force is applied to the cords. This tassel or blind cord clip is therefore designed to prevent strangulation or death of someone who gets their head stuck in the blind cords. The retention piece 3 may be a C shape and may be formed from plastic. A groove 11a 12a may be formed in the two parts to receive the retention piece.
