摘要 <p>Congestion occurrence in a communication network is controlled when performing data transmission based on a first protocol between a first edge node and a second edge node. The first edge node detects a first congestion state identifying a congestion state of the first edge node, and sets first congestion information identifying the detected first congestion state to a packet that is to be transmitted from the first edge node to the second edge node. The first edge node transmits the packet having the first information to the second edge node at the time when the first edge node performs data transmission based on a second protocol from the first edge node to the second edge node, wherein the second protocol is a connectionless protocol positioned at a protocol layer higher than the first protocol.</p>
