PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single shaft crusher for stably discharging crushed pieces with a small particle size to a discharge path and stably carrying out crushing to a small particle size. SOLUTION: The single shaft crusher is provided with a rotating rotor 5 having a plurality of rotary blades 8 arranged in the axial direction, a fixed blade 9 so installed in the crusher body 2 side as to crush an object material to be treated between the rotary blades 8 of the rotor 5, a screen 25 for discharging the object material to be treated which is crushed to have a prescribed size or smaller between the fixed blade 9 and the rotary blades 8 to a discharge path 6, a crushing chamber 4 for storing the object material to be treated which is to be supplied to the rotary blades 8, and a pusher 7 which is so moved back and forth to and from a pusher storage part 11 of the crusher body 2 to push the object material to be treated in the crushing chamber 4 toward the rotor 5. The crusher body 2 has a discharge means for discharging crushed pieces with a small particle size out of the crushing chamber 4 and the discharge means is provided with the discharge path 6 having spaces 31 formed between both ends of the rotor 5 and the crusher body 2 for discharging crushed pieces d coming out of the gap between the rotor 5 and the crusher body 2.
