The present invention relates to a pneumatic tire improving turning performance and limit movement of a vehicle to be balanced when the vehicle turns on an icy road. Shoulder block rows (6R,7R) on which shoulder blocks (6,7) are arranged along a ground connection end side by side are formed in the pneumatic tire. The shoulder blocks include a slope in a normal line direction of a tread surface (2a). A sipping (11) is extended in a circumference direction of the tire at the angle of θ1 which is over 60 degrees. In a cross section of a meridian line of the tire, the shoulder blocks include; a buttress trimming unit (12) connecting a surface (Ba) of a buttress unit (Bs) and a tread surface in a circular arc shape; an upper surface (14) more protruding to the outside of an axial direction of the tire than the buttress trimming unit; a side surface (15) extended from a tire axis directional outer end (14a) of the upper surface to the inner side of a radial direction of the tire; and a protrusion unit (13) of which the width Wa in the circumference direction of the tire is 1.5 to 0.7 mm.
