A SEPARATOR HAVING POROUS COATING LAYER AND ELECTROCHEMICAL DEVICE INCLUDING THE SAME

Disclosed are a separator comprising a porous coating layer and an electrochemical device comprising the same. The separator comprises: a porous material; a polydopamine coating layer formed on at least one side of the porous material; a porous coating layer comprising binder polymers and inorganic particles on the surface of the polydopamine coating layer. The prevent invention can improve safety of electrochemical device by controlling the inorganic particles which is possibly separated by stress generated in an assembling process of the electrochemical device by improving the bonding force between the porous material and porous coating layer. The present invention can improve output and cycle properties of the electrochemical device by improving wet characteristic of the electrolyte through improving congeniality between the separator and electrolyte.
