The present invention relates to a BLU (Backlight Unit) for a liquid crystal display device using a light source. The present invention includes: a frame which maintains the shape of the backlight unit; a reflector sheet which improves luminous efficiency by reflecting light which is emitted from the light source; an LGP (Light Guide Panel) which converts a point light source which passes through the reflector sheet into a surface light source; a diffuser sheet which uniforms brightness by scattering the light which is outputted from the surface of the LGP; a prism sheet which improves the brightness by refracting and collecting the light which is diffused from the diffuser sheet; and a curtain tape which prevents the light which is leaked through the prism sheet and receives an LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) panel. A hole for an air pass to discharge the inner air of the backlight unit to the outside is formed on a part of the curtain tape.
