A method for improving video output definition and a terminal device. The method comprises: processing a video output signal by obtaining information about a display device connected and selecting a corresponding definition improvement algorithm according to the obtained information about the display device; and finally, outputting the processed video signal to the display device for display. The above technical solution solves the problems in the prior art that an output image of a mobile device does not match a display device connected thereto, and then a display image is blurred due to the fact that the image is amplified using a unified fixed algorithm when the mobile device is connected to the display device to play video. |
