PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conveying device that performs appropriate speed control so as to eliminate a fluctuation in peripheral speed of a secondary transfer roller and surface speed of an intermediate transfer belt without causing an increase in the number of components and costs, an image forming apparatus, a semiconductor device, and a motor control method.SOLUTION: A conveying device is capable of conveying a storage medium by using at least a first rotating body and a second rotating body, and includes: a first motor that drives the first rotating body; a second motor that drives the second rotating body; current detection means for detecting a value of a current that flows in the first motor; and speed control means for controlling, when the current value detected by the current detection means has decreased to below a predetermined first value, to reduce a rotation speed of the second motor. |
