<p>Provided is a method whereby it is possible to easily produce a crystal oscillator having high frequency accuracy. The present invention involves a joining material arranging step for arranging a metallic joining material (15) on one main surface (10a) of a ceramic flat plate (10) in which a crystal oscillating element (20) is mounted on the one main surface (10a). The present invention also involves a joining step for arranging a cap (11) having a concave part (11c) on the one main surface (10a) of the ceramic flat plate (10) such that the concave part (11c) opens towards the ceramic flat plate (10), and for joining the cap (11) and the ceramic flat plate (10) by melting and then solidifying the joining material (15).</p>
