PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a casting mold having high collapsibility after being used even without using special equipment, and a method for manufacturing the casting mold.SOLUTION: A casting mold contains casting sand, sodium silicate, and a silica-based porous material. The casting mold preferably contains a binder containing the sodium silicate and the silica-based porous material. One or more can be selected from the group consisting of silica gel, mesoporous silica, and macro porous silica as the silica-based porous material. The casting mold preferably contains 0.5-2 pts.wt. of the silica-based porous material based on 100 pts.wt. of the casting sand. A method for manufacturing the casting mold described in any one of claims 1-4 includes forming a mixture of the casting sand, the sodium silicate and the silica-based porous material into a predetermined shape, and hardening the mixture with gas containing carbon dioxide. |
